COMPANY HISTORY
JDM-CAR-PARTS.COM was founded in the late 2000s, and we have been supplying parts to thousands of vintage Japanese car lovers all around the world to restore their cars back to their original condition.
We offer parts for Datsun 240Z, 260Z, 280Z, 280ZX, 300ZX 510, 620, Nissan Skyline series, Toyota Sports 800, Toyota 2000GT, Celica, Corolla, Subaru 360 Series, Honda S Series, Mazda Cosmo Sport, and many more vintage JDM (Japanese Domestic Model) cars.
We take great pride in catering to each customer's needs. We share basic maintenance tips as well as detailed information on how to build a show-car with customers.
We also locate cars and parts for customers in the US and Japan. We have been in the import/export business for over 30 years.
Our warehouse is in Torrance, CA as we ship parts to all over the world!

About our restoration specialist / chief engineer
Our restoration specialist and product engineer, Jay Ataka, is well known in the Japanese classic car industry in the US for his immaculate-built cars. His award-winning show cars and unobtainable car parts that he engineers for classic Japanese cars are always well known for the highest quality.
Jay came from Japan in April,1990 for his college degree. After obtaining B.A Degrees from 2 Universities in Iowa, he moved to Los Angeles for his job. Since his passion for cars were occupied his college life, he got into the automotive industry. His first job was a car buyer / recondition manager for an exporting company, which restored and shipped many cars to Japan. He soon started his own company, but it was not enough to fulfill his professionalism. He went back to college to study automotive mechanics. He started on-site car inspection for private parties before they buy a car. His business grew and inspected cars and trucks for dealers and auctions. Car inspection included assessment of paint, body, and structure, computer diagnosis, noise diagnosis, and test drive for certification, arbitration, and pre & post purchase inspection. Inspecting 400 cars every week, over 12000 cars annually to him to the next level. His passion continued and started car restoration and manufacturing parts to restore parts for his restoration, which became his current business, JDM-CAR-PARTS.COM.

Former Chief car inspector at Auto Inspector, professional on-site car inspection service / seminar / expert witness / accident analysis
Former official Arbitrator / Examiner / Certifier for Auto Nation Southern California Region; performed car inspection for paint, body, frame, mechanical inspection, computer diagnosis, and test drove over 400 cars for certification and arbitration weekly, over 12000 cars annually.
